Manga-ka: Moyoco ANNO (Flowers & Bees)
This is a hilariously wacky series whose main character, a hyper young Japanese woman careening wildly through life, will either have you in stitches or pulling your hair out over her self-defeating actions. I don't know why the artist draws Shigeta with a different hair color on each volume. This series is rated for mature readers due to the frequent but brief sex scenes in many volumes. One of my favorite series for slapstick comedy, Shigeta is unrelentingly funny in her expressions and reactions. She never seems to learn, yet the scrapes she gets herself into are always entertaining. Full review available at AnimeFringe.
