Digital Fansubs

Digisubs are anime fansubs that you download and play on your computer. They usually come in .AVI format and can be played in video programs like Windows Media player and DIVX Player. Digisubs have mostly replaced VHS tapes for fansub distribution. The easiest way to get digisubs is by downloading individual episodes or groups of episodes thru BitTorrent. This is a simple, adfree file sharing program that enables users to download directly from web sites without having to install a spyware-filled search program like Kazaa or Bearshare. BT files can be resumed and are always online. Anyone downloading is simultaneously uploading to other users, and the greater the number of users uploading files, the faster downloading is. There is an official BitTorrent client but BitTornado is better.
